La sigla indica Positive Temperature Coefficient, ovvero POSISTORE.
Al passaggio di corrente oltre una soglia prefissata, il componente si scalda, aumentando la propria resistenza fino ad aprire il circuito ove è collocato.
Quando si raffredda torna a condurre: un fusibile ripristinabile!
Determinante è il valore di intervento in corrente, da scegliere in una scala standard, che decide come proteggere l’altoparlante collegato a valle.
